Electrosorption technology is a new type of water treatment technology, which is based on the double layer theory in electrochemistry, using the electrochemical properties of the charged electrode surface to achieve the separation of ions in water, and then the purpose of removal. BOC Sciences can provide electrosorption technology, which forms an electrostatic field by applying an applied voltage to two electrode plates with positive and negative charges, forcing ions to move to the electrode plate with the opposite charge, with anions moving and gathering to the positive plate and cations moving and gathering to the negative plate, thus reducing the salinity of the water itself and achieving the effect of salt removal.
Raw water enters the space separated by two electrode plates from one end and flows out from the other end. When the raw water flows between the cathode and the anode, the ions in the water migrate to the electrode with the opposite charge and are adsorbed by the electrode and stored in the double electric layer. As the electrode adsorbs more ions, the ions are enriched and concentrated on the surface of the electrode, and finally the salt and water are separated to obtain desalinated water.

Removal of excessive inorganic salts, such as calcium, magnesium, fluorine, arsenic, sodium, nitrate, sulfate, chloride, etc., and even enable some water sources with excessive inorganic salts to be used effectively.
Desalination of seawater using electric adsorption technology has the advantages of simple operation, low energy consumption and no secondary pollution, which is a relatively clean seawater desalination technology.
For industrial wastewater with high COD and salt content, the traditional water treatment technology affects the removal of salt due to high COD, but the electric adsorption technology has strong anti-pollution performance and shows a certain ability to remove COD, so it can remove the high salt in the sewage without its influence.
Electric adsorption technology is better for industrial wastewater treatment because these wastewaters mainly contain a large number of heavy metal ions, dissolved salts and other toxic and harmful ions, which are very harmful to human beings and the environment, and these ions carry a large number of charges and are easily removed by the aggregation of adsorption at the two ends of the electrodes of the electric adsorption device.
