Agrochemical

Agrochemical

The wastewater discharged during the production of agrochemical is characterized by complex composition, toxicity and high salt content, mainly containing benzene, organic phosphorus, high concentration of salt, mercury and phenols. A large number of toxic and harmful substances and toxic organic substances enter water bodies, causing the deterioration of water bodies and the death of water organisms, and these pollutants also pollute the environment through various ways, and eventually enter the human body, threatening human life and health.

BOC Sciences offers water treatment processes that are highly effective in removing agrochemical such as pesticides, herbicides and insecticides. We can perform an engineering assessment of your water quality conditions, conduct treatability tests to determine pilot scopes, and perform engineering optimization to determine the best solution.

Physical-chemical treatment solutions

Physical methods are used to separate harmful substances from wastewater and reduce the concentration of pollutants in wastewater by physical means, and are often used for pretreatment of wastewater and are also widely used in the deep tailwater treatment process. Commonly used methods include distillation, adsorption, membrane separation method, etc. Chemical oxidation method is a process of degrading pollutants by using different means to cause chemical reactions of organic and inorganic substances in wastewater to destroy their structures. Chemical methods include photochemical oxidation, wet oxidation, ozone oxidation, electrochemical oxidation and Fenton oxidation.

Biological treatment options

  1. Membrane bioreactor
  2. Membrane bioreactor (MBR) is an effective combination of membrane separation technology and biological treatment technology. The membrane in this system plays the role of effective retention of microorganisms, which enables it to retain microorganisms with a long life cycle and improve the removal of pollutants from wastewater.

  3. Biofilter
  4. The biofilter is a biofilm formed by bacteria, aerobic microorganisms and higher protozoa attached to a carrier. The wastewater passes through the biofilm and the microorganisms inside the membrane decompose and utilize the pollutants to degrade the pollutants in the wastewater.

  5. Artificial wetland
  6. Artificial wetland is a combination of substrate, aquatic plants and animals and microorganisms to form a compound natural wetland through artificial design. Artificial wetland can not only effectively degrade pollutants in wastewater, but also has low construction cost and easy operation.

Pesticide nitrogen removal solutions

  • Adsorption method

Adsorption method of nitrogen removal mainly uses adsorbent to remove nitrogen from nitrate in wastewater, commonly used adsorbents include activated carbon, clay, seafoam and biosorbent.

  • Ion exchange method

The ion exchange method of nitrogen removal is mainly divided into ammonia removal and nitrate removal, in which ammonia removal is carried out by using natural zeolite to react with wastewater, and zeolite reacts with ammonium ions in an ion exchange reaction, and the composition of zeolite is mainly porous aluminosilicate.

  • Ammonia blowing method

The principle of ammonia blowing method is to introduce air into the water under alkaline conditions, and through full contact between the gas-liquid and liquid phases, the free ammonia in the water will be transferred from the liquid phase to the gas phase, thus achieving the purpose of denitrification.
