Fungicides are usually chemical agents that effectively control or kill microorganisms - bacteria, fungi and algae - in water systems. Fungicides are chemicals that inhibit the growth of bacteria and algae and microorganisms in water to prevent the formation of microbial slime that can be harmful to the system. Including oxidizing biocides, such as chlorine, sodium hypochlorite, bleach, ozone, chloramine; non-oxidizing biocides, such as dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride, dodecyldimethylbenzylammonium bromide, dithiocyanomethane; heavy metal compounds, such as mercuric oxide, mercury chloride, mercury fluoride; slime biocides, such as rosinamine, hydrogen peroxide, biguanide polymer.
Fungicides in water treatment is mainly used to clean ultrafiltration membrane. Ultrafiltration device in the long-term water production process, due to the high content of organic matter in the feed water, under certain conditions, there will be some bacteria and algae breeding in the membrane components, so that the filter membrane clogging, resulting in water permeability pressure increases, the quality of water production decreases, and in order to restore the headstrong membrane water throughput and the ability to retain impurities, it is necessary to regularly use fungicide on the membrane components for chemical cleaning.

BOC Sciences offers biocide testing for water treatment agents, including inorganic biocides, organosulfur biocides, organophosphorus, arsenic biocides, and other samples. There are a variety of testing items to help customers efficiently analyze the efficacy and effects of biocides for better biocide screening.
